Sea, marina and history

Long beaches, an active yacht marina, and a national park that preserves the walls and remains of ancient Ascalon, one of the oldest cities in the land.

A city planning ahead

The city's master plan adds about 22,000 new homes and targets about 308,000 residents by 2035. The new Ir HaYayin neighbourhood at the city entrance alone includes about 11,000 homes.

Jobs and hi-tech

TERA PARK, Ashkelon's new hi-tech park, covers about 340 dunams and is planned as one of the largest in Israel, with a new train station planned beside it. The city is also home to Barzilai Medical Center, Ashkelon Academic College and the Ashkelon desalination plant.

A community from around the world

Ashkelon has welcomed many new immigrants over the years, especially from France. Feriron has helped many of them buy a home here, and its neighbourhoods include a synagogue, a mikveh and residents' clubs.
